Blankenberg is a seaside resort on the Belgian coast which is very popular. The last weekend in August we woke up to a clear blue sky and decided to go there. After 1.5 hour on a train so packed there wasn't even space enough to sit down on the floor we reached this little city which felt like a mix between Brighton and Nice. Not necessarily a good thing.
The nice part...
The less nice part...
Tide water
After a couple of hours on the beach we decided to take the coastal tram to another sea side village. But due to some accident it wasn't running, and of course they had cancelled the buses too, just because!
So we rented a 6-persons bike, here called a Go-Kart (for me a go-kart is something completely different, and more fun. Or at least that's what I thought!).
It took us about half an hour to decide is we were a car or a bike (i.e. to drive on the big roads or the small one for bikes). Realising we didn't really wanna sweat that much, we decided weren't really up for car-speed with our go-kart. A couple of semi-cold beers, nice cell phone music and four people screaming to the driver how to drive. It can not be hilarious!
We went all the way up to Zee-Brugge and back. If you ever go to Blankenberg, I sincerly advise you to do this!
